Chandra Sekar Azad


In freedom fighting movements Chandra sakar azad was one of the top most and also well known leader in history records. He sacrificed his life to the nation by bullets. He was born on July 23rd 1906 in Bhabra village of Madhya Pradesh. His father Sitaram Tiwari. His mother Jagrani Devi. In his early life he learn Sanskrit in Kashi  Vidhyapeeth of Varanasi. His life at Bhavra. Then Azad involved freedom struggled events. In the year 1921 Azad involved Non Co operation Movement and arrested in his age of 15. An young revolutionary fighting with British Government. Mahatma Gandhi liked his activities but he was disappointed for his violence activities. Then he had with the participation with Ram Prasad Bismil and continued his struggled movements. Bhahat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukhdev in his team and as for freedom activities. Hindustan Republican Association group gathered youngsters and more activities in such group. Chandra Sekar Azad and other revolutionaries  as a gang to do the events of those days. 


In 1925 he was involved Kokari Train Robbery. Also involved the activities of Jhansi in his life circle. Hindustan Republican Group had youngsters such as Ram Prasad Bismil, Rajendra Lahiri and many youngsters. Also Azad had friendship with Bhagat Singh. He was fully disturbed the event of Amritsar Massacre on 1919. So his life with freedom events such days. Also he was involved as the shooting of Deputy Superindent of Police Sundars in the year 1928. So such events he was declared and arrested by British Government. Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev as a company with revolution activities. In 1931 Chandra Sekar Azad met Ganesh Sankar Vidhyarthy in Sitapur Jail and met the great leader Jawaharlal Nehru. After this incident Azad fully in the view of Police circle. Azad and his group round up by British police in the year 1931 in the place Alfred Park in Prayagraj. 


British police arrived at the park and surounded four sides. Suddenly at that movement Sukhdev escaped with injuries. The police fired with long shoot out. Azad was only alive at that place covered by police gang. In such moment he used to shoot himself. Miracle moments. Chandra Sekar Asad died. Sacrificed his life to the nation. After the death of Azad this park as for the memory of Azad named as Chandra sekar azad Park in Madhya Pradesh. Also statue of Azad at Alfred Park in Prayagraj. Very young revolutionary sacrificed his life as a patriot in history records. Gave our salute to this freedom fighter and respect for his participation. Jai Hind.

Puli Thevar Puli Thevar was the earlier freedom fighter in our Indian history. He was a tamil palayakkarar who ruled Nerkkattumseval in the Sankarankoil taluk-Tirunelveli. Maruthu Pandiyar

Maruthu Pandiyar Maruthu brothers are earliest freedom fighters against Britishers in our Indian history. Maruthu brothers born in Mukkulam village in Virudhunagar district. Older brother Periya Maruthu born on 15 December 1748 and elder brother Chinna Maruthu born on 1753. The parents of Maruthu brothers are Udhayam Servai and Ponnathal. Maruthu brothers joined as soldiers in the army of Muthuvaduganathar-king of Sivagangai. These two brothers had more skills in army training. After the attack of Ramanathapuram, Arcot Nawab and Britishers were making his attack to Kalayaarkoil. In this attack Muthuvaduganathar killed. Wife of Muthuvaduganathar, Velu Nachiyar and Maruthu Pandiyar escaped from Kalayaarkoil and lived Virupachi near Didigul.  On 1779 Velu Nachiyar and Maruthu brothers defeated Britishers and 1980 Velu Nachiyar became the ruler of Sivagangai. Velu Nachiyar Velu Nachiyar was a queen of Sivaganga estate in South India. She is regarded as the first queen who fought against the British colonial power in India. She was born on 3 January 1730. Her parents Muthathal Nachiyar and Chellamuthu Sethupathy. She took training in handling weapons, in martial arts, horse riding and archery. She had brilliant language skill in English,French,Urdu. At the age of 16 she married Muthuvaduganathur Udaiyathevar. Nachiyar and Muthuvaduganathur Udaiathevar had a daughter named Vellachi. After the British soldiers and son of Nawab of Arcot conquered Sivagangai and killed her husband. She fled with daughter and lived at Virupachi some days.  At Virupachi she had lived under protection of Palayakkarar Kopaala Nayakkar.
