Aurobindo Ghosh
Aurobindo Ghosh was one of the freedom fighter and also journalist, yogi and also Guru. He was the gang leader or boss in the revolution of Indian Independence. He was born on 15 August 1872 in Calcutta at Bengal. His father Krishna Ghun Ghosh. Krishna Ghun Ghosh wanted his sons to enter the Civil Service. It was necessary that they study in England. He had three brothers. The boys were taught by Drewett and his wife. He was taught Latin in the year 1881. Auorobindo had learned Latin and French. Drewett emigrated to Australia in 1884 and then went to London for his study with Drewetts mother. In that year on the month of September he joined St.Pauls Schools there. He also leaned Greek there. Aorobindo Ghosh knew twelve languages. English, French, Bengal, Greek, Sanskrit, Gujarati, Marathi, Hindi, Italian, German and Spanish. He passed the ICS Examination in four months. Aurobindo secured a scholarship of Kings College Cambridge under recommondation of Oscar Browning. Oscar Browning was a British Educationalist and a historian.
In 1893 he joined Survey and Settlements Department at Baroda. In 1897 he joined as French teacher of Baroda College. During this time he started his interest in freedom movements. He had linked with Bal Ganghadar Tilak and Sister Nivedita at that time. He married Mirnalini as his wife. In 1906 Aurobindo joined the First Principal of National College in Calcutta. He was influenced by studies on rebellion and revolutions against England in Medieval France and the revolts in America and Italy. Also he favored non co operative moment in the year 1920. The Non Co operation Movement was political compain launched on 1st August 1920 by Mahatma Gandhi to have Indians revoke their co operation from the British Government. He also had a contact with the other revolutionary Bagha Jatin also. Also he had full involvement of Anushilan Samiti of Calcutta in 1902. He also attended the Congress Meeting headed byDadabhai Naorogi in the year 1906.
In the year 1907 Surat Session of Congress and also in 1908 he had a connection of Alipore Bomb Case were the political records of his submissions. In the year 1908 Khudiram Bose and Prafulla Chakki attempted to kill the Magistrate of Kingsford. Aurobindo Ghosh was the most powerful key of that movement and Aurobindo arrested and jailed. Also he met Swami Vivekananda and had suggestion of freedom struggle movements. In Pondicherry Sri Aurobindo dedicted himself to his spiritual and philosophical pursuits. He started Aurobindo Ashram in the year 1926. From 1926 he started to sign as Sri Aurobindo. In 1914 he started a monthly philosophical magazine called Arya and published the year of 1914 to 1921. His letters most were written in 1930's. These were later collected and published in book form in three volumes of letters of Yoga. Sri Aurobindo was nominated twice for the Nobel Prize without it being awarded. In 1943 for the Nobel Award in Literature and in 1950 for the Nobel Award in Peace. He was died on 1950.
