 Prafulla Chaki


Prafulla Chaki also known as Prafulla Chandra Chaki was one of the Indian revolutionary of Indian Independence movement. He was the Bengal revolutionary. Many forced revolutionaries had a great form or team in that days. He was as Jugantar group revolutionary. Jugantar or Yugantar was one of the two main secret revolutionary trends operating in Bengal for Indian Independence. Several Jugantar members were arrested, hanged or set to be in the cellular jail for their whole life. Prafulla Chaki was born on 10 December 1888 in Bihar in Bongra District of Bengal. His father Rajnarayan Chaki and his mother Swarnomoyee Devi. He was as the fifth child of his family. He was studied in Namuja Janada Prasad English School. This was the English medium school in Bogra. He then joined Rangpur National School. He was also studied in Rangpur Zilla High School. He had also known as the activities such as swimming, horse riding and more. In his early life he was eager to know about freedom struggle movements. 


Barindra Kumar Ghosh decided to select Prafulla Chaki as his freedom movement. So he had confident of him. Barindra Kumar was an Indian revolutionary and also journalist. He was the one of the main revolutionary during that days. The first assignment of Prafulla Chaki was to kill Sir Joseph Bampfylde Fuller the first Governor of New Province of Eastern Bengal and Assam. This event was successful in his active corner. So the next step was to became the hands with Khudiram Bose an another revolutionary for the assassination of Kingsford The Magistrate of Muzzaffarpur Bihar. So in this assassination event Khudiram Bose and Prafulla Chaki planed to kill these officer. So these revolutionaries have been keen watch about this officers activities. Also in this event another revolutionary gave his support for the plan. Dinesh Chandra Roy was that team for these assassination gang. Indian revolution mostly raised in India those days. 


In association with Khudiram Bose, Prafulla Chaki decided to kill that officer Kingsford. Mr. Kingford was in famous for giving heavy punishment for political workers of Bengal Revolution movement . They observed Kingsford and collect more and more details about his activities. On 30,1908 they threw the bomb in front of the gate of European Club. Unfortunately Kingsford was not present in front of the carriage and it took the life of his daughter. Two more were shot dead and Bose and Chaki fled. Prafulla escaped  to Kalkatta  by train. But a traiter Indian Nandalar Banerjee a Sub Inspector of Police sent a telegram message to the next station from where got caught. Prafulla fired two shots and took away his life. Prafulla made him suicide by shooting himself using his own revolver.  This is his gift for the nation. Khudiram Bose sentenced to hang in the prison. Revolution movements filed in history records for such this fighters. Gave our salute to this unbelievable persons in Indian history.

Puli Thevar Puli Thevar was the earlier freedom fighter in our Indian history. He was a tamil palayakkarar who ruled Nerkkattumseval in the Sankarankoil taluk-Tirunelveli. Maruthu Pandiyar

Maruthu Pandiyar Maruthu brothers are earliest freedom fighters against Britishers in our Indian history. Maruthu brothers born in Mukkulam village in Virudhunagar district. Older brother Periya Maruthu born on 15 December 1748 and elder brother Chinna Maruthu born on 1753. The parents of Maruthu brothers are Udhayam Servai and Ponnathal. Maruthu brothers joined as soldiers in the army of Muthuvaduganathar-king of Sivagangai. These two brothers had more skills in army training. After the attack of Ramanathapuram, Arcot Nawab and Britishers were making his attack to Kalayaarkoil. In this attack Muthuvaduganathar killed. Wife of Muthuvaduganathar, Velu Nachiyar and Maruthu Pandiyar escaped from Kalayaarkoil and lived Virupachi near Didigul.  On 1779 Velu Nachiyar and Maruthu brothers defeated Britishers and 1980 Velu Nachiyar became the ruler of Sivagangai. Velu Nachiyar Velu Nachiyar was a queen of Sivaganga estate in South India. She is regarded as the first queen who fought against the British colonial power in India. She was born on 3 January 1730. Her parents Muthathal Nachiyar and Chellamuthu Sethupathy. She took training in handling weapons, in martial arts, horse riding and archery. She had brilliant language skill in English,French,Urdu. At the age of 16 she married Muthuvaduganathur Udaiyathevar. Nachiyar and Muthuvaduganathur Udaiathevar had a daughter named Vellachi. After the British soldiers and son of Nawab of Arcot conquered Sivagangai and killed her husband. She fled with daughter and lived at Virupachi some days.  At Virupachi she had lived under protection of Palayakkarar Kopaala Nayakkar.
