Madan Mohan Malavia               

 


Madan Mohan Malavia was a famous Indian freedom fighter during  freedom struggle. He was a journalist, lawyer and politician. He was born in Allahabad on 25 December 1861 Uttar Pradesh. As in brahmin family his parents were Brijnath and Munadevi. Malavia started his school life Hardevas Gyanopadesh Pathsalaand then he joined Allahabad Zila School. And then he completed B.A graduate at University of Calcutta. He started his career as assistant master at the Govt High School Allahabad. Malavia started his political career in the year 1886 at the present of Indian National Congress. In this year he attended the 2nd Indian National Congress as Dadabhai Naoroji's Chairmanship. During the leader of Indian National Congress in the year 1909 and 1918 he moderate leader and opposed separate muslim leaders. He was called as 'Mahamana' for the leadership of politics. In April 1911 Anni Besant met Malavia and decided to work Common Hindu University in Varanasi.The Banaras Hindu University was established in the year 1916 he became work education issues that time. 


He had a discussion with Mahatma Gandhi in the year 1916 and participation of Khilafat Movement. In 1928 he joined with Lal Lajpat Rai, Jawaharlal Nehru and many others in protesting against the Simon Commision. He participated as a member for India First Round Table Conference in the year 1930. He was arrested on 25 April 1932 because of Civil Disobedience Movement. In the year 1932 he became the President of Indian National Congress on the arrest of Sarojni Naidu. In the same year he became the Vice Chancellor of Benaras University. Four times he was the President of Congress Party. On 25 September 1932 an agreement known as Poona Act signed by Dr. Ambedkar and Malavia for depressed Hindus and other Hindus. Then Hindus who were called sheduled casts and sheduled tribes under India Act 1935 and the later India constitution of 1950. Malavia was a journalist. He became an Editor of Hindu Daily 'Hindostan' in 1887. Then in 1889 he became the Editor of 'Indian Opinion'. His poems and articles on religious published in 'Hindi Pradeepa' In the year 1909 he became the Editor of 'Leader' of English daily. In 1910 he started the hindi paper 'Maryada' In 1924 he had his involvement and with the help of Lala Lajpat Rai and Birla for continued the edition of 'Hindustan Times'


Madan Mohan Malavia started Scouting Education for the Indian students in the year 1913 Scouting Organisation called All India Seva Samiti for youth group. So Malavia gave more important for school students. The slogan 'Satyameva Jayate' given to the nation by Pandit Madan Mohan Malavia to the nation as the President of Indian National Congress in its session of 1918 at Delhi, by saying that this slogan from the 'Mandakopanishad' should be the slogan for the nation. Malavia awarded 'Bharat Ratna' as his political and freedom moments activities. He was died on 12 November 1946. For the memory of Malavia Indian Government delivered postal card. Also Malavia Nagar in Delhi, Allahabad, Lucknow, Bhopal, Dehradun, Durg and Jaipur are the memory of him in history.  'SATYAMEVA JEYATE'
