B.R.AMBEDKAR
In our Indian history B.R.Ambedkar was the one of the great politician, philoshoper, jurist, social reformer and also the economist. His full name Bimarao Ramji Ambedkar. He always inspired dalit movement against untouchable movement. He was the student of economics in Columbia University. He involved political rights and social freedom of dalits. In his early life he was born on April 14 in the year 1891 at Mathya Pradesh. He was a Marathy family. His father served in British Indian Army. During his child life Ambedkar heavily affected by Untouchablity. He had three brothers and two sisters in his family. After the death of his mother he joined Elphinstone school in 1906. Only untouchable was the great effect of his school life. In the age of 15 he married the younger girl Ramabai at her age 9.So younger couples begin their life. In 1907 he finished the school life and joined the University of Bombay. In 1912 he finished his college course of economics and he joined the job of Baroda State Government. At the age of 22 he moved to United States in 1913, he had a post graduate of Columbia University at Newyork. In 1916 he enrolled Bar Course.
Ambedkar completed his Master Course in 1921. He was awarded by University of London for Economics. As a lawyer he practicing lawyer in the Bombay High Court he tried to promote education to untouchables. He was appointed Bombay president committee work with Simon Commission in 1925. In 1927 he decided to launch active movements against untouchablity. Also struggled the movement against, enter Hindu Temples. He followed the Dalit Buddhist Movement. Created the new schools of Buddhism called Navayana. This dalits are lowest caste in India characterised as untouchable. Ambedkar publicly condemned the classic Hindu text and burned the text copies. On 25 December 1927 he led thousands of followers to burn the copies of ancient text and made his record of history movement. In 1936 Ambedkar moved Kalaram Temple Movement. About 15000 followers assembled at Kalaram Temple. Sathyagraha was powerful in Nasik. Men and women walked through the temple with military band, they had great eager to see the god in temple. They were reached the main gate of the temple. But Brahmin authorities closed the temple.
For the movements and activities of Ambedkar, untouchables among Hindus who were called Sheduled Casts and Sheduled Tribes under the Indian Act 1935, and the later Indian Constitution of 1950.In 1935 Ambedkar was as the Principal of Government Law College Bombay. In 1936 he had as the founder of Independent Labour Party. After the Independence of India he was the First Law Minister of Indian Democracy. With the help of Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru he defined the Uniform Civil Code and also Hindu Code Bill.In 1935 his wife Ramabai died. Then he married Sharada Kabir as his second wife on 1948. Ambedkar considered converting to sikhism. But after on 1950 he began as Buddhism. He travelled Sri Lanka to follow Buddhism. He wrote about Buddhism and also Burma to adapt Buddhism. Also attend conference at Rangoon. He also travelled Kathmand Nepal to attend Fourth World Buddhist Conferance. He died 6 December 1956.He awarded Highest Civilian Award Bharat Ratna on 1990. For the memory of Ambedkar we remember his untouchable moment.
